Spring Update

The world has turned upside down and we are quietly welcoming Spring by carrying on. We hope you too are carrying on, feeling as well as can be and happily sheltering with the ones you love.

We are very grateful to still be able to make our soaps, and, although we won't be at any of our usual markets and events, for now we are still shipping online orders without any noticeable delays.

Shelter-in-place & Markets

On Tuesday, March 17th, several counties in Northern California - including the one in which TONIC is located - received a mandatory shelter-in-place order in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. For now that means we will not be at our regular markets until at least May 3rd. We are still able to ship any online orders and USPS has been doing a terrific job delivering without any noticeable delays.

Please know that the AIM Farmers Markets are still open for business, and the farmers and food purveyors would love to see you. In the meantime, our tentative schedule for the next several months can be found here.

Our Commitment

We are committed to creating the best soaps and lotions possible by focusing on the integrity and quality of our process and ingredients. The health and well being of our customers, as well as ourselves, is our highest priority. To this end we have been following the COVID-19 situation daily and following CDC advice and recommendations. Some of the steps we have taken -

  • Production space areas, tools, and surfaces are sanitized with 90% alcohol several times throughout the day and before and after each and every batch run.
  • Hands are washed and gloved before packing each and every order for shipment.
  • Orders are packed in cardboard boxes with biodegradable peanuts and are picked up by USPS within 24 hours.
  • All deliveries of raw materials and other studio supplies are received via no-contact and everything is unpacked and disinfected in a separate and secure space before entering our studio production areas.

All production takes place in our Northern California studio, so we are able to monitor the quality and safety of our products as closely as possible.

A Request

Shop small & shop local - this is so important right now, especially here in the Bay Area. Consider purchasing directly from a local maker or artisan.

May we suggest checking out our fellow makers at Bay Area Made or AIM Farmers Market Artisans?

Let us know if you have any questions - we are here for you.

With gratitude,

Ian & Kristina, co-founders
